For those who like books.

Did you ever notice, that when you read, the book has a voice?

“Now she totally turned into a lunatic”-Yeah, yeah, yeah.. I hear you say that..

But really now, don’t tell me you ever hear your own voice while reading-and I don’t mean aloud. No, no. I mean while intensly reading an exciting book! Or.. are you one of those whose thoughts don’t have any voice? It’s hard to explain, and I know it sounds crazy if you read this, but I’m sure you know what I mean, don’t you?

Right. Now, if you don’t know what I mean, think about it and listen to your thoughts, only once.. You’ll realize, that normally the same voice (your voice in your head) pops up when you read.

For those who know what I mean.. Well, lately I realized something very interesting. Usually, I have my voice while reading a book (you know what I mean-Not talking about your speaking voice..), but there’s one writer, which makes me take another voice-No, actually there are two writers.. It’s really surprising. Well the first writer is Walter Moers.

Anyways. The voice I hear when I read those books (And more from W.Moers)is – hold on – my sister’s. Seriously. I have my sister’s voice in my head when I’m reading Walter Moers. And I have my sister’s voice in my head when I read her stories and her blog and stuff.. Well, not literally her voice.. But.. Most likely hers.. Or – Yeah! Now I have it: Her intonation. But that makes it sound totally like her. Now how funny is that.

Oh well. This school is exhausting. I gotta write a shortstory. Not invent, no. I got to write “The Bread”-Berchert from the sight of the man. That’ll be fun. I’ll do that this weekend. Should be learning french now, but who reads the blog of others to hear what they gotta do, right?
